I'm looking at the sea and thinking about pirates, these men that have fascinated us for so long. I see their eye patch, the hook instead of a hand, and of course a white ruffled shirt where the frills resemble the white sails of their boats. But who were these lawless men terrorizing the oceans? I keep looking at the horizon, the sail boats coming back to short, is there a pirate out there wearing a white shirt?

Coming back home by bike I go to the library and find a graphic novel with pirates on the cover. The title is, "The Bourbon Island, 1730" by Appolo and Lewis Trondheim. One of the characters is Olivier Levasseur nicknamed La Buse, the most famous French pirate. Here is the first page:
